Adding more to the list of things to do, the special New Year event is now set to bring a chunk of limited-time content throughout the next few weeks.

A lead member of the Final Fantasy 14 development team comments on a potential collaboration with Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Now players will soon be able to participate in the Happy Hunting New Year event, which begins on December 23 at 9 AM (local time). The themed event is spread across two halves, with the Final Hunt 2024 scheduled to take place from December 23 to December 31 and the First Hunt 2025 taking place from January 1 to January 5, 2025. In the first half of the event, desert and swamp habitats will feature Gold Rathian, whereas Silver Rathalos will appear in forest and swamp habitats. Additionally, Azure Rathalos, Black Diablos, Coral Pukei-Pukei, Pink Rathian, and Nightshade Paolumu will spawn more frequently in their respective habitats. On the other hand, during the First Hunt 2025, players can expect to confront more Deviljho, Mizutsune, Rajang, and Zinogre monsters, with each creature appearing in large numbers in their suitable habitats. This special event follows shortly after Monster Hunter Now rolled out its fourth season, Roars from the Winterwind, on December 12.
Monster Hunter Now Announces New Year Event and Its Content
Moreover, as part of the Final Hunt 2024, Monster Hunter Now players will get a chance to complete limited-time quests to unlock event-exclusive rewards, such as a Happy Hunting New Year 2025 Medal, a Final Hunt 2024 guild card background, Lagombi Christmas Sweater layered equipment, and more. In the second half, First Hunt 2025 guild card background will be among the various rewards available in the game. Throughout the Happy Hunting New Year event, a variety of limited-time packs will be up for grabs on the game’s Web Store. In particular, the New Year 2025 Pack – containing five Potions, one Paintball, two Ultra Hunting Tickets, and a Special Carving Knife – will also go on sale.

For PC and console players, Monster Hunter Wilds is set to arrive in February 2025, amid significant anticipation.
