Nearly 15 years after it first hit theaters, The Social Network is coming to 4K Blu-ray. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is planning to release a 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition on February 18, though a standard edition 4K Blu-ray is also expected to arrive in early 2025. Preorders are now open for the upcoming release, and they seem to be incredibly popular (we’ve already seen them go out of stock once). That means if you’re interested in getting the film into your collection in February, we’d recommend reserving a unit while you can.
$46 | Releases February 18
This version of the film gets you two discs. The first offers a 4K version of the film, complete with Dolby Vision and HDR support. You’ll also get a variety of theatrical trailers on this disc. The second disc is a standard Blu-ray, and it’s packed with additional features. This includes audio commentary from David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin, featurettes discussing the movie’s creation, and a discussion with Trent Reznor about the film’s score. Of course, you’ll also get a stylish steelbook case to show off the film in your collection.
$21 (was $26)
If you can’t wait until next year, The Social Network is currently available on standard Blu-ray. The so-called Two-Disc Collector’s Edition includes most of the same bonus features as the upcoming 4K release, including audio commentary from David Fincher and a discussion with Trent Reznor about the film’s score. It’s also currently on sale for $21 (was $26), making it a solid choice if you don’t mind skipping out on the 4K format.
If you’re a big David Fincher fan, consider adding a few other 4K films to your collection. Zodiac 4K Blu-ray is now available for $23 (was $25), while the Seven 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition is up for preorder ahead of its January 7 release. Along with a 4K version of the film, you’ll get bonus features such as commentary from David Fincher, Brad Pitt, and Morgan Freeman, extended scenes, and alternate endings.
And just like The Social Network, the Panic Room 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition is up for preorder ahead of its February 18 release.
